Happy Happy Halloween Recipe!! :)

Blissings Everyone!! :)

I realize wow, I should have posted this yesterday or earlier than that!!!

My Apologies,

Now go run to your nearest asian grocer and then regular grocer to make these amazingly awesome Halloween Treats!!!

Tastier than it Looks, Make a few or a Bowlful for the most Talked About Halloween Treat!! Thanks To The Langhorst’s for sharing this wonderful picture of Oliver and their Rawsome Eyeball Fruit Salad Creation!!!

Eyeball Fruit Salad

1) Peel and pit as many lychees as you want. Pit carefully so the

fruit is intact and not all shredded. These are the eyeballs.

2) Take half as many green grapes as lychees and slice them in half

across the grapes. These make green eyes.

3) Count out as many nice blueberries as have lychees. These are the

pupils of the eyeballs.

4) Take a fine paring knife and prepare a little cored out area on the

centre of the sliced end each of the grape pieces. These need to be

sized to snugly hold a blueberry in the end. Watch your fingers.

5) Take each blueberry stuffed grape and jam it into the open end of

the lychee.

6) To finish things of nicely, puree enough raspberries, strawberries,

and other reddish fruits for a nice bloody sauce. Pour over the fruits

and serve.

Guaranteed to score points with the elementary school crowd on Oct 31!!

Hope you love this Recipe!!

A great Tip for Halloween and the rest of the year!

Treats by Definition are anything ( a event or item ) that is out of the ordinary and gives Great Pleausre. Its what we establish as “special Treats” and/or put ephasis on being special that becomes phycologically coveted and run to in hard times or in Celebration.

We all learn to a great degree through repition, what we make Habit with our repeated thoughts, words, and actions.

This is true with ourselves as well as with our Kids, what we Teach them with our words and actions carries over into their lifestyle habits. When we choose to establish Some simple healthful Fruits and Vegetable dishes that They love to be the best Treats of all, we all win. Fresh Ripe Raw Fruit and “Super Sweet Treats” Recipes (coming soon, ohh Teasers) can satisfy every palate, Providing a real treat one can eat again and again without belly ache!

The best of Treats should Effectivly “Treat” us how we Deserve to be “Treated”.

Creating Healthy Habits starts with the way we think about, talk about and share our experience with others.

Treat yourself and those you love in the best way you can this Season and throughout the rest of the year.

We all Deserve it! :)

Its amazing but when we truly treat ourselves how we deserve to be treated in thought word and deed our whole vibration rises in accordance with that action of our highest truth, that acknowledgment and knowing that we are worth it, that we are and can exemplify and be love.

Who doesn’t feel “treated” by a Meal of Mango’s, or delicious Persimmon?

What about a Durian or Jackfruit Treat, you can find these and other Exotics at most Asian Grocers!

Banana “Ice cream” Anyone?

Simply Blend or Use Frozen Banana’s with your chosen tool, Thats It!

Better than you could ever imagine, sweeter and creamier than one could guess. The Almighty Vitamix, a Champion Juicer with a blank plate, or a Yonana’s banana ice cream maker can help make this treat a staple.

I made Charlize Banana Icecream for breakfast, lunch dinner and the following breakfast the other day, she was in Banana Ice cream Heaven and thought she was eating treats all day!!!

Wishing you a fun n Sweet Halloween!!

Treat Yourself the Wrong way and you may end up like this!

Home Time, Fun with Family and Friends!!

Blessings All!! :)

Wow A packed video, this is one month condensed!!
From gardens to playing with All my nieces and nephews n friends, to Fruitlucks potlucks and the amazing Invisible shoes!

SO so so much to enjoy!!

Hope you love it!! :)

Whoa were to start!!!

A good friend of the family lives on a farm, you’ve seen it before (its where Alli’s horse Dandy lives!), we planted a awesome garden out there this year and have been reaping the benefits with lots of fresh eats!! Tons of greens, tomatoes, carrots and more such a treat. Jacob Alli and I barefoot, connecting to the earth together learning the joys of gardening! SO so sweet. While “weeding” I notice that we are actually “picking” a variety of Purslane, one of my favorite greens. Sea Purslane is actually the highest in sodium of any terrestrial edible plant, all varieties are quite savory and a great addition to stews, pasta’s, salads and more. I love to eat it right from the ground! We packed up tons of greens for a variety of fun feasts in the week!

My dad got his ears cleaned out by the process of ear Candling, this was his first time trying it out and my 2nd time helping another with the process. Basically you take a special “ear candling tube” stick it in, light it up and it creates a warm suction that sucks the wax out of the inner ear. I haven’t done it myself as Ive found my ears have been really clear since going raw (I only need use a q-tip once or twice a year and even then there is little to no wax). Even though I have not done it myself I have seen and heard amazing results noting lots of gross wax (much different in color and texture than the melted candle itself) come out with a huge difference in hearing and feeling in the ear. My dad is now a believer and wishes to do it twice a year, as per recommended.

Lucky n happy me Gets to jump on the trampoline with Allijah and the rest of the kids during the month. I used to be in trampoline lessons, and remeber doing a routine to “Janies Got a Gun” ahaha. Alli and I show off with some flips and acrobatics. I love to Jump! Trampolines are so fun and the best form of exersise, the best exersises are always at Play or simply playing. Charlize and I play n bounce noting my awesome “Bananenhaus” (Banana House) t-shirt from The best band ever “Die Roten Punkte”. They are by far one of my favorite bands these days ( all of the songs in the video are by them) check them out at DieRotenPunkte.com

To the PBR Auction, a wonderful place to get below wholesale prices on Produce. Receiving all the overflow produce not accepted by the Grocers PBR puts them up at great prices 3 times a week. Searching for Auctions and wholesalers to buy your produce in bulk from brings the best prices and deals around!! Saskatoon cant be the only place with a auction, check out your city, delve deep and find those Gems! I got Organic blackberries and Banana’s on one trip and Organic Strawberries (4 bucks a Case) and Crenshaw melons on another trip!

My 1st Saskatoon Frickin’ Fruitluck of the year turns out to be a success. Many good friends, family and sweet fruits n veggies came out to play, share and sk8board. Garret even elbow dropped a Watermelon!! Lets spread Frickin Fruitlucks around the globe, Start one up yourself in your city, take photos or video and I will include it on my videos!! I will be hosting Fruitlucks every major city I goto every chance I get!! Excited to enjoy with you!

I am so so so Stoked on Invisible Shoes!! I have two pairs myself and have bought 5 pairs for family members that desired them as gifts :) Very simply minimal running/hiking/jogging/walking/playing shoes that allow you to actually feel the earth. A thin (available in 2 thickness’) Vibram Cherry sole is all thats between you and the earth, this helps you utilizise your natural gait for the best muscular development, posture, foot strength, endurance and jogging form. Ever since running and jogging barefoot as well as with my Invisible shoes I have found huge improvements in my ankle, foot and knee strength. I used to have ankle issues that effected my sk8ing as well as the thought of jogging or running, I am now able to sk8 and run further, faster and with more regularity, than ever in my life. Having the feet breathe is a really nice thing too, as is getting a nice tan on the old feet! I simply Love them, at 20 – 25 $ a pair I cant recommend them highly enough.

Off to Beate Epps amazing Organic Farm for a Saskatoon Monthly Raw Food Potlucks which are headed by the illustrious Deanna Litz of LightLiving.ca. Quite simply a rawsome time filled with great people n delicious raw food. Excited for more! :)

Back to the auction I pick up two cases of Organic banana’s, Chiquita from Equidor and Bio Banana’s from Peru. Ready to commence a Taste test to find out the best banana!!

Off to Rotary park for a awesome free yoga class in the sun put on by Cory Nuefeld of The Better Good (my favorite Eco concious Shop) and Ryan Leier of One Yoga (My Favorite yoga Studio)! After a fun class with freinds new and old we enjoed a mini fruitluck and determined that the Bio Banana’s were the creamiest and sweetest of the bunch, Just goes to show Biodynamic farming is the best!!

Last But Definitely not least I bought a case of Cherries, part Bing and part Rainier for my mom and Dads 40th wedding anniversary! I shout allot in the video sharing my love for cherries and Johnny Cash! :)

A taste test on the cherries reveilles the dark red Bing cherries to be the crowd Favorite!!

Hope you really enjoyed the Video apologies for the sloppy writing its the end of summer and im spending as much time outside as I can!!!!

Next time w enter New York Madness and “the Woodstock Fruit Festival”

Wishing you much

Eating out on A Raw Food Diet the Easy Way

Blissings all!! :)

Todays video is one I am really excited to share as it can help bring ease and confidence to what many feel is a trying and at times embarrassing situation.

If I could count the times in dollars I have had people tell me “It must be so hard to go out to eat on a raw food diet” or “But then what do you do at restaurants” I could buys a extra case of bananas a month at least wow!! ahah :)

Showing you how simple it can be to go out to restaurants on a raw food diet, as simple as you make it really :)

P.S: My Raw, Yoga, Surfing Skateboarding Retreat this Coming January 7 – 14th is coming quick and filling up, Reserve your spot and learn more here :)

Enjoy the Vid!!

While driving back home from B.C with my parents we stop at a Local Produce Stand :)
A box of Cherries, and the box of Organic Banana I got on the Island set me up for the road home and the first few days in Saskatoon. Traveling with ease with my fresh produce, other times I simply bring dates and celery, or raisins and apples :)

While passing through Loydminister Saskatchewan we decided to stop at Original Joe’s, a pub style/sports bar restaurant for lunch. I was really desiring a bunch of the ripe banana’s and cantaloupe I had in the car but also wanted to enjoy eating with my parents, so I figured why not make a video of it, showing how easy it is to eat out on a raw diet.

After sitting down I asked to talk to the manager, to see if it was ok to film within her restaurant for the purpose of this blog. I also then asked if it would be possible to eat my fruit as “Im on a raw/special diet, making a video about eating out at Restaurants while raw” even asking to have my banana’s blended into a smoothie for me. She said it wouldn’t be a problem at all, only that I would have to ask the waitress if she wanted to be filmed or not, she didn’t so I obliged.

I would like to note that in the last 7 1/2 years I have only had one waitress tell me I couldn’t eat the fruit I brought into the restaurant, only one! Even so she came back a minute later extremely sorry, apologizing profusely after her manager had reprimanded her telling her to let me know of course I could eat my fruit. Its really important to realize that people in service are there to “serve” you. Their main objective is for you to have a good time and to want to come back. I only go to restaurants with other people or groups who are ordering the food off the menu, most of the time I also order a simple salad. It can be as simple as asking for a big bowl of lettuce, mounds of tomatoes and cucumber, or a custom salad where I hand pick the ingredients from the menu.

My parents ordered their food, which they loved and I was given a knife a spoon and a plate to eat my cantaloup starter, which I loved. My starter was followed by a beer jug full of banana smoothie, a perfect meal! I really enjoyed having exactly what I wanted while my parents did also, there was no fuss no embarrassment and in fact I am more than sure the waitress and mangers eyes were opened, planting the seeds of curiosity into my flow. Love it all with fun, confidence and the knowledge that unless you ask you never know.

I used to be embarrassed when I went out to restaurants, feeling everyone was looking at me figuring I was such a hassle, this really dictated the whole experience unconsciously creating what I feared. I have come to realize its all up to me to create my experience, being confident, knowing that the waitress/waiter wants it to be easy for everyone. In general people like to help where they can, I often use the magic words “Can you please help me…….” Given that opportunity those in service will most often do all they can if your kind confident and explain why. Sometimes simply saying, “I am on a special Diet” or pulling out the big guns and saying “My Dr. Say’s” or even “I am allergic” can get anything accomplished if necessary.

Asking for what you need in any situation is a real gift you can give yourself in every moment. Its not uncommon for people to brush or undervalue thier own needs for fear of inconveniencing, troubling, or embarrassing themselves or others. I really feel it is a most useful practice, being open and honest with yourself and others, asking for what you really want in a clear and kind way without attachment to the outcome. Thats the clincher, attachment. If you can let go of that, no matter the outcome its all good, its only one meal, one moment in time. You never know what you may get unless you ask for what you need.
I tell ya a sure way to disappointment is to set yourself up for it :)

Of course I could have made it even easier on myself and Original Joe’s, I could have simply asked for a romaine and cucumber / celery salad and simply ate that after eating my banana’s in the car, or even simply ask if I could eat them to start my meal inside of the restaurant. In my experience this is always received well, especially using those magic words before mentioned. Have fun with it, challenge your waitress or chef to make the biggest salad ever, confidence and levity goes a long way. I have had some of the best salads in my life out at restaurants, simple raw and low fat simply asking for exactly what I wanted based off of items in 6 different dishes I saw on the menu. Huge salads I could barely eat that cost less than anyone else’s order!
Let others around you know that being raw socially it isn’t a big deal to you by your attitude in going out, ordering and eating.

In the end its “Just Food”, poke LisaSobolewski.com. Its one moment in time, one meal, let your focus be on what is really important, the time and spaced shared with your friends, your loved ones, your family. Focusing on the other people there with you, asking questions, sharing stories, love, good energy and times in that perfect moment. All of our creation fully and totally, Our experience is dictated by our perception and choice as to what to focus on. Our confidence and ability to verbalize our needs clearly to others goes a long way.

Always Know you Deserve the best every time, ask for what you need to shine, to thrive and let go of the outcome.

Going out can be fun, eat what you want before, ask for what you want inside and enjoy it all!!!

Thanks much Original Joe’s for helping make that particular meal a Sweet one :)

Wishing u much

Getting Frickin’ Rawsome in Victoria

Blissings all!! :)

This weeks video is following my flow as I travel throughout Victoria B.C Canada.

Hold on to your hats, its a fun one! :)

But first, Gotta say I am really Honored to have a raw recipe and my site up on the “Diet Detective’s Fall soups for 2011″ web page! Being that The Diet detective is well know, having been on Many t.v shows such as Dr Oz, I am sure it will spread far and wide, up to 100 paper publications and many more web sites ive been told Booyaa!! :)

I submitted a few recipes and my Transitional Creamy Carrot Soup Won out. Check it out here!!

http://www.dietdetective.com/columns/healthy-fall-soups-2011.aspx

enjoy the Video!! :)

Wowser, this one is chalk full!!

We have The awesomeness that is Victoria, thanks ma n pa for the fun!

Starting with a Frickin Fruitluck at Coombs, a nice little “hippy” town in the middle of Victoria Island. One of my favorite markets on the island, well anywhere is Coombs “Goat on the Roof” Market. There is both a reguar market where goats actually live on the sodden roof, but in the back there is a huge produce market filled with lots of local and organic good!!

SO so so sweet! :)

Coombs Frickin Fruitluck went off rawsomely, many great people, sweet durian mangos n much much more!! Thanks everyone for the awesomeness. Tyrell and his ma Beverly gave out the good tip that if your Durian from Superstore isnt good you can return it for a refund!! I should have known this but tis god news as they really can be hit or miss. Tyrell is also a epic chef and 811 banana smasher! :)

Char from Charskitchen.ca shares her passion for creating gluten free raw vegan treats that everyone can enjoy, showcased are her amazing “Char Star” Cookies featuring Fudgy chocolate Almond, Cinomin Coconut Almond, and what what Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough???? No joke she sells them at the farmers markets around Victoria, Im sure we will see them in stores soon!!! Flowing with passion, set to help others, you cant loose. Kudos Char :)

Off to Rawthentic Eatery a cool raw restaurant in Qualicum Beach on Victoria Island. I am pretty sure it was either the 1st or 2nd raw restaurant I ever ate at, Blessings Liz whom was on a epic raw bicycling trip across canada at the time! Tyrell is a Chef at Rathentic, its been around for over 3 years now, thanks for the Treats!

Eating raw in restaurants is really as easy as you make it, I actually really enjoy it! I ate with my family at a golf course restaurant, I find simply asking for waht you do want, instead of asking for a specific salad without onions..without dressing..without blah blah blah, instead, I would love a huge salad, challenging them to make the biggest ever, with mixed greens, tons of tomatoes and a lime on the side. It works really well, your comfort and confidence is dictated by you, its Just Food anyways, i find it useful to simply enjoy what you can n focus on the togetherness n sharing of space.

A quick trip to Victoria City to sk8 and roam around while my parents golfed was a real Treat!

While on the island I bought a Iphone4 off of Kajiji Vancouver. In a rush I negated my intuition and a few red flags concerning the person I was buying from. At the time I felt rushed, feeling that if I didn’t get the phone right then, even though I was wary of the deal, payment method and other points, that I wouldn’t get as good of a deal as saskatoon’s listings was sparse in comparison. In the end it ended up being a scam, i was put out 450$ as he picked up and took my cash from a western union in Europe. Lesson, don’t use western union for ebay / kajiji / craigslist! Listen to your intuition, it serves you well. IN the end its just cash, the expereince and lessons I learn were worth more than a silly iphone anyhow. Faith in the process, the knowledge that I have all I need and will recive all I need to continually grow in loving service. I am actually just now about to purchase a better one off a friend, boooya upping the game I will be!!

Consults on the go, HD video Blogs, Pictures, fancy dancy for sure!! :)

My mommy and I Make a awesome Raw Lasagna for her, my pa, our freinds the Bassets and Vancoughnett’s with who we were staying with. The recipe will be launched in my upcoming “Cravings Busters Transitional Raw Recipes” out in the new year of 2012!!!! Peep the vid for the awesome recipe! :)

Tyrell hooked both Char and I up with a epic Kayaking Journey all over the place. We went over a few Kilometers out into a bunch of smaller islands. After choosing one that Tyrell had never been to we pulled our kayaks ashore and expolred the scene. Some saskatoon berries mmmmm love it, crow do do, a burnt shirt and rocks and trees were thourally explored. When we came back it was to our surprise to find our kayaks (char’s n mine anyways) out to sea ahahah Luckily Tyrell pulled his higher as the tide came in and he was able to row out and retrieve our Kayaks.

After a epic time we went Back to Make a feast at Tyrell and his Mom Beverly’s house. Thanks so much to you both and Char for the awesome time, good company and food!! Char Brought her Rawsome Char Star Cookies for desert, Tyrell made a amazing Mushroom Alfredo, some Salad and a Wicked Greek Salad!! I brought a few slices of Lasagna and made some open faced ravioli’s. Can you call them raviolis then? hmm I just did!! Like true Rawk Stars we smashed as much of the feast as we could n faded into stories n sweetness.

Love you Victoria, thanks for the times was amazing, excited for more!!

Hope you enjoyed it!!

101 Donations, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society

Blessings All!! :)

Me Oh my Oh Its that time again!

Every second month 1/2 of all my donations accumulated from my “101 Frickin’ Rawsome Recipes” recipe ebook go to a different charity decided by those donating.

Drum roll!!!!!!!!!

This month Sea Shepherd Conservation Society turned out to be the winner of the donations Charity vote!!!

“Sea Shepherd’s Mission Statement

Established in 1977, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS) is an international non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organization. Our mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world’s oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species.

Sea Shepherd uses innovative direct-action tactics to investigate, document, and take action when necessary to expose and confront illegal activities on the high seas. By safeguarding the biodiversity of our delicately-balanced ocean ecosystems, Sea Shepherd works to ensure their survival for future generations.”

“THE HISTORY OF SEA SHEPHERD

On the front lines of direct action marine conservation

A Brief Overview

Sea Shepherd Conservation Society was formally incorporated in the United States in 1981 in the state of Oregon. Previous to this, the idea of Sea Shepherd was formed when Captain Paul Watson founded the Earth Force Society in 1977 in Vancouver BC, Canada. The original mandate of both organizations was marine mammal protection and conservation with an immediate goal of shutting down illegal whaling and sealing operations, but Sea Shepherd later expanded its mission to include all marine wildlife.

In 1978, with financial support from Cleveland Amory of the Fund for Animals, the Society purchased its first ship (a British sea trawler Westella) and renamed it the Sea Shepherd. Its first mission was to sail to the ice floes of Eastern Canada to interfere with the annual killing of baby harp seals known as whitecoats. In the same year, the Sea Shepherd hunted down and rammed the notorious prolific pirate whaler the Sierra in a Portugal harbor ending its infamous career as the scourge of the seas.

Since those early days, Sea Shepherd has embarked on over 200 voyages covering many of the world’s oceans and defending and saving defenseless marine life all along the way.”

Sea Shepherd has since become well know by its TV show’ and wide public Intrest. I am proud to flow this Donation to their efforts and hope more people are moved to contribute directly as well.

Compassion for all living beings, tall small wet dry, lets come together as one in our love for life.

wishing you much
